How AI Tool North profiles AI tools
A directory is only useful if you know what stands behind each entry. This page explains what our profiles contain, what they do not claim, and the rules a tool must meet before it appears on AI Tool North.
What a profile is
Each profile is a documentary overview written from publicly available information about the product. It explains what the product is presented as doing, who it seems most useful for, the main features described by its maker, and the questions worth asking before you choose it.
Profiles are written in English and edited against internal rules: no copied marketing prose, no invented features or integrations, no unverifiable promises about security or results, and a dedicated section on limitations and points to check. Some early drafts were prepared with AI writing assistance; every published profile has been edited against these rules, and we continue to review the catalog.
What a profile is not
Unless an article explicitly describes a test protocol and its results, a profile is not a hands-on review. We do not publish star ratings, scores or customer reviews, and we do not present any tool as tested when it has not been.
Product details change quickly. Treat a profile as a starting point and confirm features, limits and terms on the official website before you commit.
Pricing
Pricing is shown only when it has been checked. When we have not confirmed a plan, the profile says “Unknown” rather than guessing from old or third-party information. Plans, currencies and limits vary by region and change often, so always check the vendor’s pricing page.
Selection and publication
A tool appears in the directory only once it has a complete editorial profile and a logo stored on our own servers. New tools, including those submitted by their makers, enter a review queue and stay private until that work is done.
Categories describe a tool’s main use. Some classifications are still being refined, and a tool may be relevant to more than one task.
Links and independence
We link to a product’s official website only when the address has been confirmed. Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, AI Tool North may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked on the profile, use a dedicated redirect, and are tagged as sponsored for search engines.
Commissions do not decide which tools we list or how we describe them, and a tool without an affiliate programme is covered the same way. AI Tool North does not currently accept payment for listings, placement or coverage; if that changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial recommendations.
Corrections
If you notice an error in a profile or an article, use the “Submit a tool” form: give the product name, its official website and a short description of the correction. We review every request and update the page when the change is confirmed.
