Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform
Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, formerly Vertex AI, is Google Cloud’s platform for building, governing and scaling AI agents and ML models with 200+ models.
About this tool
Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform has a new name. The former Vertex AI address now redirects to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, which Google’s pages shorten to Gemini platform, and its pricing documentation says it supersedes the legacy AI Platform and AutoML products at the same costs, with some exceptions. Teams that searched for Vertex AI will find the same capabilities here under the new branding.
The platform targets technical teams building agents grounded in enterprise data. It offers more than 200 Google and third-party models, including Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude, plus tools to build, scale, govern and optimise agents. Classic machine learning remains part of it, with training, testing and tuning of custom models on one platform and AutoML for tabular and other data.

Who is it for?
- A retailer builds a customer service agent grounded in product and order data stored in Google Cloud.
- A data science team trains and serves a forecasting model without managing servers.
- An enterprise compares Gemini and Claude models on the same task before choosing one.
Before you choose
The rename means documentation, console labels and third-party tutorials may still say Vertex AI; check both names when searching for guidance.
Some legacy features, such as scale-to-zero for certain inference setups, are not supported in the new platform according to Google’s pricing notes.
