Seedance
Seedance is ByteDance Seed’s family of AI video generation models, from Seedance 1.0 for multi-shot 1080p video to the newer Seedance 2.x releases.
About this tool
Seedance is a family of video generation models developed by ByteDance’s Seed research team. Seedance 1.0 generates multi-shot videos from text or images at 1080p, with an emphasis on smooth motion, rich detail, cinematic aesthetics and adherence to prompts, and ByteDance assessed it on public leaderboards for both prompt-based and image-based video generation in mid-2025.
Newer versions have followed. ByteDance Seed’s site now introduces Seedance 2.5, highlighting one-take creation and flexible referencing, and third-party creative platforms such as invideo list Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 variants among the models available to their users. Seedance is therefore usually accessed through apps and platforms that integrate it rather than as a standalone consumer product.
