Granola
Granola is an AI notepad for meetings that listens through your computer’s audio, without a bot, and turns your own notes into structured summaries.
About this tool
Granola takes a different approach to meeting notes. Instead of sending a bot into the call, it listens through your computer’s audio, so it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or any other meeting app. You type rough notes as you normally would, and Granola combines them with the transcript to produce clean, structured notes with decisions and action items.
It also helps before and after the meeting. Synced with your calendar, it prepares a brief before external meetings with the attendees, what was discussed last time and what matters now. Notes are private by default and can be shared when you choose. Apps are available for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, and paid plans connect notes to tools such as Notion, HubSpot, Attio and Zapier.
What you can do
Bot-free capture
Granola records your device audio rather than joining as a participant, so no extra attendee appears in the call.
Enhanced notes
Your own quick notes are expanded with the transcript into organised summaries, decisions and owners for next steps.
Meeting briefs
Before external meetings, Granola prepares a brief on attendees and earlier discussions using your calendar and past notes.
Integrations and admin
Business plans connect to Notion, HubSpot, Attio, Affinity and Zapier, with admin, API and retention controls on higher tiers.
Who is it for?
- A founder keeps clear notes across back-to-back investor and customer calls.
- A product manager pushes meeting decisions straight into Notion.
- An account executive reviews a brief on a client before a renewal meeting.
Before you choose
Even without a bot, recording a conversation may require participants’ consent; Granola offers a way to notify others that it is in use.
On team plans, review sharing defaults, retention settings and whether model training is switched off for everyone.
